(WOWT) LINCOLN, Neb. — A Lincoln high school math teacher has been charged Monday with driving drunk for a third time.
A North Star High School math teacher, 41-year-old Terry Harms, was arrested for his 3rd DUI offense over the weekend.
He was pulled over for expired registration stickers on Saturday December 12th, just after 2 a.m. in the area of 33rd and South streets in Lincoln.
LPD says a formal breath test showed his BAC to be .165, which is slightly more than double the legal limit.
Court records show Harms has two prior DUI convictions, in 2011 and 2007, making this latest bust a felony offense.
Lincoln Public Schools says Harms is still employed but was not at school Monday.

Don’t harm em Terry!
One of my Uncles once told me “If you’re going to be breaking the law, don’t be breaking the law” sound criminal advice. I’m not sure how much hope he had for my future passing that down, but whatever. Stands true. You’re going to be an idiot and drive drunk at least have the registration up to date Harms, that’s just simple math dude.
Would have been priceless if this dude pulled the ‘Do you know who i am? I’m a Lincoln high school math teacher!’ Works for some football players so who knows right?
But I do have a pro tip tip Terry Harms. In appreciation for all the help you’ve done teaching the youths of Nebraska arithmetic let me teach you – Stop driving drunk. You clearly suck at it bro, stick to pushing common core down kids throats while having terrible coffee breath. That’s what you’re good at.
