World champion boxer Terence Crawford is listed as a suspect in a police report alleging property damage and theft of services.
Last Thursday, the report said, Crawford and some friends showed up to the Extreme Customs Auto Body Shop. Crawford demanded to take a car he had in for a paint job, but the shop owner told police that Crawford still owed more than $1,300.
The owner told police that Crawford yelled, ‘When you have money, you can do what you want.’ Crawford managed to get his car off of a hydraulic lift, the owner said, and pushed it out of the parking lot.
The lift was left on, the report said, and when police arrived it had melted, causing hydraulic fluid to spill.
The owner of the body shop did not return KETV NewsWatch 7’s calls.
An attorney for Crawford said they believe it is a private civil matter.
What a scene. I absolutely can’t believe Terence Crawford yelling “When you have money, you can do what you want” but I want to believe it. I need to believe it so badly. Look theft isn’t cool, who knows what the real story is here. Maybe Terence does owe money and was acting like a jerk but whatever, small things to a giant.
The truth is you don’t reach the top in the United States Boxing without developing an edge. If owing Xzibit and the dudes over at West Coast Customs a grand or so for your paint job is the worst thing that you’re doing then I’m fine with it. Floyd out here beating women, Manny is comparing gays to animals and they reached the pinnacle of the sport. Hell, Mike Tyson is one of the most beloved people in the world and he was a cocaine addicted, mad man alleged rapist.
How about KETV with that photo though. Making it look like he just robbed a Mega Saver.
The fact remains though, nobody can escape it
